Help
Email support@kilnpodcastplayer.app. It helps to say which iPhone and which version of iOS you're on, and — if it's about one particular show — the feed address.
Transcription runs on your device and needs the episode's audio, so it will fetch it first if you haven't downloaded it. It also needs a language your device supports for speech recognition. An hour of audio takes a few minutes and uses real battery.
Summaries and chapters need either Apple Intelligence, an API key of your own, or a Kiln Plus subscription. Transcripts need none of those. See Settings → Summaries & chapters.
In Apple Podcasts, tap ••• → Share Show → Kiln. The show is added the next time you open Kiln. For a whole library at once there's a Shortcut — the steps are in Settings → Import.
Try Restore purchases on the Kiln Plus screen. If it still doesn't, email the address above.
If you publish a podcast and would prefer generated summaries of your episodes weren't cached, email us with your feed address and they will be removed. Transcripts you publish yourself are never cached, altered or served — Kiln always uses yours in preference to making its own.
What Kiln collects, which is very little, is set out in the privacy policy.
